About Adriana

“Together, we'll create a space where you can be fully honest without judgment and work collaboratively to reach your goals.”

My approach is warm, collaborative, and both insight-oriented and skills-driven. I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as specialized trauma treatments including Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Most of my experience has been providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to older adolescents, and adults from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

I offer a structured, attuned space where you’ll build practical tools to regulate your nervous system, develop emotional stability, navigate conflict and gain clarity into the patterns shaping your life—supporting more grounded, secure, and fulfilling ways of relating.

Together, we'll create a space where you can be fully honest without judgment and work collaboratively to reach your goals. Using practical, evidence-based approaches, we explore the patterns shaping your behaviours and relationships so you can build secure attachment, trust yourself, and connect with confidence. I focus on building an empathetic, compassionate, supportive, and structured space where you can feel safe to be authentic and ready for growth.

Outside of work you'll find me enjoying mindful time in a forest or the mountains, engaging in some sort of physical activity such as dance, sharing quality time with loved ones, or relaxing while listening to a podcast or audiobook, or doing a craft.

Professional Experience as a Psychologist

I bring diverse clinical and systems-level experience across community, institutional, and specialized mental health settings, which shapes my structured, skills-driven approach to therapy. I have extensive experience working as a Registered Psychologist at Inner Solutions, where I provided individual therapy, facilitated multiple DBT skills groups, and delivered trauma-focused treatment using Prolonged Exposure (PE) and CPT, two of the most empirically supported treatments for PTSD. I have also worked with CBI Health, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and workplace-related stressors, and with Woods Homes, supporting youth and families facing complex emotional, behavioural, and trauma-related challenges.

Beyond direct clinical work, I have contributed to broader mental health initiatives across Alberta. Through my work with Strategic Clinical Networks (SCN), I supported province-wide efforts to improve the quality and accessibility of mental health services, including working with KPIs and engaging with the public to better understand service needs. I also worked with Alberta Brain Injury Network (ABIN) as a service coordinator, supporting individuals living with brain injuries, including strokes, to improve functioning, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.

In addition, I have facilitated mental health workshops with YMinds, where I taught strategies grounded in ACT and mindfulness, as well as delivered workshops on resilience and emotional well-being. I also contribute to public mental health education through instagram Reels, podcast appearances and features on Global News. Across all of my work, I balance warmth with directness—helping clients build concrete skills while addressing the underlying patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
