About Nicole
“Reaching out for support takes courage and helping others to meet their goals and overcome obstacles is an honour and privilege.”
As a Registered Psychologist, I bring empathy and a curious perspective to help identify thoughts, feelings, behaviours, goals, obstacles, and everything in-between. Humans are complex beings and increased insight can reveal patterns that can drive meaningful change.
Reaching out for support takes courage and helping others to meet their goals and overcome obstacles is an honour and privilege. I utilize evidence based approaches to help you overcome life's challenges while providing a warm, safe, and secure space. Throughout the therapeutic process, I provide psychoeducation and collaborate closely with clients to develop insight, build effective coping strategies, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
I take an eclectic approach and adapt my approach for each individual based on ongoing feedback and a collaborative process. I am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I enjoy incorporating self-compassion work throughout and giving practical tools to help foster change.
I have experience in helping individuals presenting with concerns such as generalized and social anxiety, phobias, OCD, depression, stress with competitive sports, trauma, ADHD, autism, self-esteem, body image and chronic pain. I am passionate about helping individuals break free from the OCD and anxiety cycle, thrive with their ADHD, and recover from past trauma. I support high achievers in overcoming the psychological barriers that impact performance, including perfectionism, burnout, and anxiety. I work with ages 12 years and older in individual therapy, and I refer individuals to other professionals for concerns outside my area of expertise, such as addiction and high-conflict parenting and divorce.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring Calgary’s culinary scene and spending time outdoors with friends and family. I am a self described “foodie” and I will rarely pass up the opportunity to indulge in a sweet treat! I also value maintaining an active lifestyle through walking, biking, and hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
